Josh Cutler
Age: 39
Title: Publisher
Company: Clipper Press
Education: Skidmore College, B.A.; Suffolk Law, J.D.
Community involvement: Duxbury Business Association executive committee, Duxbury Planning Board member, Duxbury War Memorial volunteer; Alternative Energy Committee member.
Biggest professional success: Launching the Hanson Express. It was the first time I jumped on an idea on my own and made it happen. It was scary, but I stuck with it and thanks to a great staff and caring readers we’ve made it a success. Now, eight years later, we’ve expanded to Whitman and Pembroke and bought our own printing press to bring the entire operation in-house.
Dream job: General Manager of the Boston Red Sox or mystery book writer.
Businessperson you admire most and why: My dad – he started his business with an idea and a shoestring budget and turned it into a successful company that created many jobs and served the public benefit.
Favorite book/movie: “Pillars of the Earth” by Ken Follett
Cutler’s diverse background includes time as a legislative aide in the Massachusetts House of Representatives and an extensive term as editor of the Duxbury Clipper. He also founded the Hanson, Whitman and Pembroke Express newspapers. For the past 12 years, he’s run the family newspaper and printing business. It started off as just a single newspaper (the Duxbury Clipper) founded by his grandparents, but they expanded and now serve four different towns as well as publishing a monthly newspaper for pets called the Pet Gazette. Cutler stepped down in February to run for a seat in the Massachusetts Legislature, where he hopes to apply what he’s learned running a small business.
Pamela Morin
Age: 26
Title: Marketing Director
Company: A.L.S. Family Charitable Foundation
Education: BA, Public Relations, Suffolk University
Community involvement: Falmouth Young Professionals (Philanthropy Coordinator), Saint Patrick’s Church CCD teacher, Mashpee and Canal Region Chambers of Commerce.
Dream job: I’m very lucky that I already have a job that I enjoy so much it doesn’t feel like work. Ideally, I would like to stay in the nonprofit sector, one day working my way up as the head of an organization or possibly to start my own.
Businessperson you admire most: Mary Kay started her cosmetics company after becoming frustrated by the favoritism in the workplaces she worked, where men were given priority over women in regards to being promoted. Her worldwide brand is now established in more than 30 countries and has a sales force of more than 1 million. Christine Ross at the Falmouth Chamber and Mary Ann Singersen at the A.L.S. Family Charitable Foundation exemplify that same spirit – driven, supportive, compassionate and amazing mentors.
Hobbies: Running, kayaking, biking, hiking, boating.
Favorite vacation spot: My favorite trip was attending the Presidential Inauguration in 2008. My dream vacation would be a trip to Paris.
Favorite movie: Working Girl.
Upon completion of her degree, Morin was hired at the Falmouth Chamber of Commerce as Communications Manager, where she worked until May 2009. From May 2009 until December 2009, Morin worked as a communications consultant for various local businesses as well as the Yarmouth Area Chamber of Commerce and the Bonita Springs Area Chamber of Commerce. In December 2009 she joined the A.L.S. Family Charitable Foundation as Marketing Director. Her job relies heavily on community involvement with the foundation’s various fundraisers throughout the year, engaging the community as committee members, volunteers, attendees, sponsors and donors.
Amy DellaPosta
Age: 27
Title: Office Manager & Entrepreneur
Company: Gary M. DellaPosta, CPA
Education: B.S. Elementary Education & English
Dream job: To be a published education author for children’s books that would be adapted into various school curriculums.
Businessperson you admire most: I most admire my father, Gary DellaPosta. Growing up I never quite realized how much he sacrificed for our family as he put in extremely long hours, especially during tax season. I never understood why after working until 7 p.m. at night, he would come home, eat a quick dinner and then continue doing work until late at night. After having worked with him
for three tax seasons now I observe him still doing the same thing, only now I can appreciate why he does it. He is an amazing role model who shows through example the value of hard work. I also admire my sister, Sarah Rockett, a consultant at Thomson Reuters in Boston. She has tremendous drive and motivation to go after her goals in life. Recently she represented her company, Massachusetts and Cape Cod at the One Young World conference in England. This conference for young leaders addressed global issues facing us today. As I watched via live webcast, I felt tremendous admiration for my sister in being a part of something so amazing as she discussed her ideas in an open forum with so many other global leaders.
Hobbies: Reading, photography, painting, fishing, hiking and exploring new spots the Cape has to offer.
Favorite vacation spot: Newport, RI.
A former elementary school teacher, and recipient of the Golden Apple Teacher of Distinction Award in 2007, DellaPosta is currently enrolled in the accounting program at Bridgewater State College. Co-Founder of the Falmouth Young Professionals, DellaPosta is highly involved in community efforts, including the Falmouth Young Professionals, Cape Cod Young Professionals, Falmouth Christmas Parade Committee, Falmouth Rotary, Kids Campout for Haiti: Shelterbox fundraiser, ALS Family Charitable Foundation “Win a Worker” Committee, CCD Teacher at St. Patrick’s Church in Falmouth, Samaritans Golf Tournament Committee, Beach Volleyball Tournament for Children’s Hospital Coordinator, Jazzfest volunteer, Beach Cleanups and Habitat for Humanity.

This project produced 150 trees which have been transplanted and continue to grow today on various sidewalks of main roads and properties throughout Falmouth.
Dream job: Feature film actor.
Businessperson you admire most: I admire many businesspeople within my family, because they inspire me to be my best. My great-great-grandfather, General Draper from the Draper Corporation of Hopedale, inspires me to strive for the impossible. His brother, Eben S. Draper, at the time Lieutenant Governor of Massachusetts, inspires me to become a voice within our community. My cousin Jack Gallaway gave me the opportunity to learn about big corporate business structure and operation. And finally, my father, Arthur D. Calfee, continually inspires me with small business aspirations and shows me why it’s important to get involved in our local community.
Hobbies: Painting, filmmaking.
Calfee learned quickly about flood insurance after Tropical Storm Allison hit Houston in 2001 when he was attending college there. After college in 2002, Davidson completed his 3 Year Marketing Management Training Program at the Isle of Capri Casino Resort & Hotel located along the Gulf Coast in Biloxi, Mississippi. Calfee became even more passionate about the insurance industry when Hurricane Katrina hit the Gulf Coast in September 2005 and destroyed his home and place of employment. From his past experiences with natural catastrophes, combined with his hospitality background, Calfee decided to return to his hometown to help Cape Cod residents understand insurance and its complexities. His father then offered him a place within the family business at the Arthur D. Calfee Insurance Agency Inc.

Businessperson you admire most: Donald Trump – I love his arrogance
Favorite movie: Tombstone.
MacArthur previously worked at Boston Medical Center and Eagle Investment Systems, where he first entered the IT field. Company: Today Real Estate
Education: Dennis-Yarmouth Regional High School; Eastern Nazarene College; United States Coast Guard
Community involvement: Town of Yarmouth Community Housing Committee and Community Preservation Committee, Cape Cod Young Professionals, Elks Club of Yarmouth and Bass River Rod & Gun Club.
Biggest professional success: Overcoming my youth. Since I started in this business, people tell me I “look too young” to be a successful agent. I’ve had to work really hard to overcome the fallacy that young = inexperienced.
Dream job: Professional golfer! Although I love real estate, my dream is to be on the Senior PGA Tour someday.
Businessperson you admire most and why: My wife, Lynn Mason-Small. She helps me with my business, marketing, networking and I learn something from her (in business and life) every day!
