Rockland Trust announces troops drive

Bank partners with local organization to collect items for troops stationed overseas

As part of its continued commitment to its communities, Rockland Trust has partnered with Special Kindness in Packages, a Brockton-based organization, to collect care package items for the men and women serving overseas in the United States Armed Forces. Rockland Trust will accept donations March 29-April 30, 2010 at their 70 branches located throughout eastern Massachusetts. Items to be donated include snack foods, toiletries, CDs, books and games. (A complete list of items is attached.) Children are also encouraged to make cards and drawings for the troops, which can be dropped off at any Rockland Trust branch. People with loved ones serving overseas are invited to register them for a care package by filling out a form at any Rockland Trust branch, or online at www.rocklandtrust.com/troopsdrive.
