Homes placed under purchase and sales agreements last month in Massachusetts were up 8 percent over January 2009, while pending condo sales were up 10 percent over the same period, according to the Massachusetts Association of Realtors. The association said it marked the seventh straight month that home and condo P&S agreements had increased over the prior year. In a statement, association president Kevin Sears, broker and co-owner of Sears Real Estate in Springfield, said the state’s real estate market is “slowing making its way back to more normal levels.”
