Planned Giving Council of Cape Cod Looking for Nominations for Distinguished Service to Philanthropy

The Planned Giving Council of Cape Cod is looking for Nominations for Distinguished Service to Philanthropy on Cape Cod and the Islands Awards.

Also, the Philanthropy Day Committee is pleased to announce a new category this year. Besides the Outstanding Volunteer, Outstanding Business, Outstanding Philanthropist, the committee is introducing a new category: Outstanding Youth/Youth Organization. This award will be presented to a youth or youth organization that has demonstrated outstanding philanthropic commitment through fundraising efforts and/or coordinating community involvement to benefit Cape Cod and the Islands.

All awards will be presented during the 13th annual Philanthropy Day on Cape Cod to be held at the Resort and Conference Center at Hyannis on November 4th, 2009. A special nominating committee made up of nonprofits, estate planners and other community members will choose the Outstanding Volunteer, Outstanding Businessperson, Outstanding Philanthropist and Outstanding Youth/Youth Organization for their service and generosity in making Cape Cod a better place.

The committee is currently seeking nominations for the awards from the Cape Cod community. Deadline for nominations is September 11, 2009. The nomination form is available on-line at www.capecodgiving.org or can be obtained by calling (508) 280-1822 or send an email to: mwhitepgccc@aol.com
