About

Every four years the Cape Cod Commission updates the long-range (20-plus years) Cape Cod Regional Transportation Plan in cooperation with state and federal transportation agencies. The plan is a ‘forecast and action’ document, ultimately to be approved by the Cape Cod Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO), that is the primary means by which federal and state funds are allocated to transportation projects on the Cape.

The Commission's transportation staff will hold three public workshops in March to begin to gather comments and ideas for the Regional Transportation Plan that will cover the years 2011 through 2035. The workshops will be held as follows:

Monday, March 15, 2010
Beginning at 7:00 p.m.
Cape Cod National Seashore's Salt Pond Visitor Center
Route 6, Eastham, MA

Tuesday, March 16, 2010
Beginning at 4:00 p.m.
Hyannis Transportation Center
215 Iyannough Road, Hyannis, MA

Thursday, March 18, 2010
Beginning at 1:30 p.m.
Bourne Veterans Memorial Community Center
239 Main Street, Buzzards Bay, MA
