SCORE small business course free for Plymouth residents

In cooperation with The Plymouth Office of Community Development and the Plymouth Area Chamber of Commerce, SCORE Cape Cod will present its “Successful Small Business Management” course at the Mid-Cape Home Center Design Showroom at Shops at 5 Way, Long Pond Road, Plymouth, MA. The course starts April 6, 2010, and continues for 7 weekly 2 hour sessions from 7 P.M. to 9:00 PM.

SCORE, a resource partner of the U.S. Small Business Administration, is a nation wide organization that provides education and business counseling to small business. The course is taught by experienced former executives and entrepreneurs. The content is designed to provide small business owners and those considering going into business with an introduction to sound, useful business practices. Attendees are encouraged to bring their specific business issues or questions to the classes.

The SCORE program, which is open to all, will be free for Plymouth residents (one per household) or at a $130 fee for non-residents. Successful completion of the course will be one of the qualifiers for the Town of Plymouth’s Microenterprise Business Loan program, which features low interest loans with flexible repayment terms in amounts up to $35,000 for Plymouth based businesses.
