The New England Marine Renewable Energy Center at UMass Dartmouth, in partnership with the Massachusetts Clean Energy Center, will hold a summit on preparing area workers for jobs in the offshore renewable energy field on Friday, May 4 in New Bedford.
The all-day summit will feature a keynote address by US Rep. Bill Keating (D-Bourne), and panels of experts discussing: the needs of industry, trainers, and lessons from Europe – where just two offshore sites on the German coast have created 2400 jobs in three years.
