4th Annual A.L.S. Drive Fore the Green Charity Golf Classic

The “A.L.S. DRIVE FORE THE GREEN” Charity Golf Classic will be held at the Pocasset Golf Club on Monday, May 21, 2012 to benefit the Scholarship Program of the A.L.S. Family Charitable Foundation, Inc. Cost is $160 per person, and $600 per foursome. A dinner and auction following the tournament will be hosted by John Terrio. The tournament is a SCRAMBLE Format, will begin at 1:15 pm and the registration deadline is Monday, May 14, 2012. Auction items include a foursome at Newport National Golf Course, Willowbend Country Club, Sandwich Hollows, Pocasset Golf Club and others at many of the Cape’s private country clubs. A list of items is available on the Foundation website (www.alsfamily.org) and will be updated weekly. Hats for the golfers will be provided by Thomas J. O’Neill Inc. of Mashpee. The Cart Sponsors are Allied Recycling and Rhode Islands Metals, and the Hole-In-One prize is a new car courtesy of Battles Buick GMC of Bourne. Sponsorship opportunities are still available and range from $100 Hole Sponsorships to a $5,000 Tournament partner. Most sponsorships ($800 and above) include complimentary foursomes. Proceeds from the fundraiser benefit the A.L.S. Family Charitable Foundation, Inc. a nonprofit dedicated to raising and distributing funds for research and patient services for those suffering from Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (A.L.S.) commonly known as Lou Gehrig’s Disease.
