Rehabilitation Hospital of the Cape and Islands is a 60-bed specialty hospital dedicated to rebuilding lives after illness, injury and surgery. It is the only provider of hospital-level rehabilitation serving the Cape, Islands, South Shore and South Coast communities.

RHCI’s inpatient programs include the Center for NeuroRecovery (Stroke, Brain Injury and Parkinson’s Disease Programs), Joint Replacement, Hip Fracture, Amputee and Cardiac Rehabilitation Programs. RHCI is located on a beautiful, 44-acre wooded campus in historic Sandwich. RHCI physicians and therapists offer extensive outpatient services for sports and work-related injuries, post-surgical rehabilitation, pain and other specialized needs at centers in Sandwich, Yarmouth and Orleans. The RHCI for Children Eileen M. Ward Rehabilitation Center is a regional resource for children with disabling conditions.
